THIS IS A GREAT SWEEPER. WORKS BEST ON FLOORS, WILL WORK ON CARPET, BUT NOT ON THICK PILE CARPET. CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE. IT'S EASY TO USE AND TO STORE. WOULD RCOMEND EVEN TO MY EX-WIFE

It has great suction. For the money it is hard to do better. We have a woodstove, so I've had quite a few cleaners.
The only part that is inferior is the hose. I would rather pay more and get a better ne. It is narrow and can become plugged easily (if you vacuum up wood chips, anyway). Because of a curve where the instruments attach, it is very hard to get to plugs to dislodge them when they occur.

We purchased our first Mighty Mite vacuum over 20 years ago. It continued to perform throughout our recent household remodel. Since we have had it so long we thought we'd use it to do the daily clean up of saw dust, drywall dust, nails and everything that was left laying around until it stopped working and then just find a new vacuum. The remodel lasted 4 months and our mighty mite just kept going. We decided that if this vacuum could take all of that abuse after 20 years, it's a vacuum we'd want to keep using, so we decided to see if we could find a new mighty mite, and we did on Amazon. We ordered it and it is working just as good as the old one when it was new. Thank goodness Eureka realized they didn't have to change a good thing; they just needed to continue to offer it.

THIS IS THE WORST VACUUM I HAVE EVER USED!!! We have 1 dog, 3 kids and lots of hardwood floors. I just want to vacuum the floors. We use an upright for the area rugs. This vacuum gets clogged every 5 minutes and is very difficult to unclog. Thank goodness I saved my 20-year old Kenmore canister. Despite a missing wheel, broken hose attachment and broken floor attachment, it works way better than this vacuum. We'll keep the old Kenmore in the house and put the new Eureka in the garage. If it didn't feel so much like throwing money away, I'd put it in the trash.

I have two Oreck uprights (upstairs and down), am a single, widowed guy with a housekeeper who loves the upright Oreck vacuums but they are not good for wood floors (great for carpet), we BOTH disliked the Oreck canister vacs which I had received free with the uprights as they were weak in power and had VERY small bags. We BOTH REALLY like these Eureka Mighty Mites, a LOT! They are great for multiple cleaning projects and I just got my 2nd one for my upstairs home office. The bags are large for a small canister vac, they are VERY powerful (no comparison between this and the Oreck canister)!!!. For wood floors, Eureka does have an attachment for sale on their site which is a little better for bare floors but the one with this will do just fine. I also use this for my car-great for cleaning cars and in garages. I also use one for cleaning the wood floor on my screen porch. A GREAT price, large bag, powerful, lightweight, could not be more pleased.
